Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Cabaret
Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century. His work heralded a new thinking in architecture, using innovation in design and engineering made possible by newly developed technology and materials.
Wright's largest commission was the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, for which he created a signature dinnerware service for informal dining in the Cabaret Room. The design of colorful overlapping circles was so modern in its simplicity and asymmetry and was used in the hotel for many years.
Shortly before the demise of the hotel, in 1984, Noritake reissued the original design.
Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Cabaret dinnerware is manufactured by Noritake in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
